Position Summary

The Hub Project is made up of a growing team of communications, research, and organizing experts who have extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, and polling and analytics. We believe in a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our economy and participate in our democracy, and we make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups – bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns. 

The Operations Associate will work closely with the Operations Manager to provide critical operational support to The Hub’s staff and rapidly growing campaign efforts by managing a complex system of contracts, payments, and grants. This role is essential to maintaining business continuity related to campaign efforts and being an effective progressive organization in a demanding political environment.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Prepare and process a high volume of contracts, payments, and grants through our financial and legal compliance process
  • Interface with operations management on priorities related to obtaining business objectives and maintaining workflows
  • Effectively organize and communicate information to partners and vendors
  • Support the day-to-day management of the office to ensure a high-quality workplace
  • Collaborate with office assistants and associates on a variety of special projects
  • Identify and perform other duties as necessary

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • Able to track and deliver on a variety of deadlines and competing priorities
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with some project management experience
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with budgets, financials, and/or managing contracts or invoicing is a plus
  • Self-motivated and passionate about progressive issues
