Position Summary

We’re looking for someone who has experience from the technology, media, marketing or advertising sectors, has managed large teams, is passionate about progressive issues and digital innovation, and is excited to roll up their sleeves and help shape a growing and evolving organization.

  • Oversee a range of digital consultants and an annual budget for digital activity and paid digital advertising exceeding $10m.
  • Develop high-level strategy for innovative, complex digital programs, including large-scale paid media persuasion efforts.
  • Review content and creative for a wide range of digital campaigns, from email drafts to videos to digital ads to websites.
  • Identify, hire, and manage digital consultants as needed; including paid media, email marketing, and web development firms.
  • Coordinate with other internal teams and external partners to ensure we’re running integrated, layered, and authentic campaigns.
  • Work with the rest of the senior leadership team to guide organizational growth, create internal processes and norms, and develop high-level political strategy for our programs.

About you…

  • You have experience managing large teams and know how to motivate both your direct reports and peers, as well as work across departments to get things done.
  • You’re well-versed in all aspects of running digital campaigns and have experience training others on best practices.
  •  You’re passionate about digital innovation and love tracking the latest trends, testing, and thinking outside the box on how to move people to action online. That commitment includes passion for reaching diverse audiences with a range of strategies.
  • You have a keen eye for creative and know what works and what doesn’t (but aren’t afraid of trying new things).
  •  You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, data-driven, and work well under pressure.
  • You’ve got a sense of humor and are comfortable taking on evolving responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.

In addition, it would be a bonus if…

  • You’re familiar with digital and creative measurement approaches and tools.
  • You have knowledge in other aspects of grassroots campaigning; such as generating earned media, running mail and TV programs, and using polling to develop messaging and targeting.
  • You have ideas and/or relationships to test innovative distribution strategies to reach target audiences across traditional and emerging platforms.
