Director of Employee Engagement, Retention and Recruiting

Position Summary

The Hub Project is a growing nonprofit organization looking for a Director of Employee Engagement, Retention and Recruiting.

As Director of Employee Engagement, Retention and Recruiting, you will…

  • Collaborate with the COO and Hub senior management to oversee active recruiting efforts to bring the best talent to a growing and dynamic organization, including managing job descriptions and job postings;
  • Ensure that all hiring is done in accordance with best practices, in line with budget priorities and consistent with organizational goals pertaining to diversity, equity and inclusion;
  • Work with COO to improve and implement an efficient and effective onboarding process for new staff;
  • Implement, guide and lead the Hub’s retention efforts, including trainings, conferences,  and other professional development programming;
  • Work with the COO and senior management to modify and manage the evaluation process;
  • Work with COO and outside consultant(s), to conduct salary audits and analysis to ensure organization’s salaries remain competitive and equitable.

About you…

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher;
  • You have extensive personnel management experience;
  • You are a proven problem solver and strategic planner;
  • You have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills, particularly as it relates to communicating internal processes with staff;
  • You have a demonstrated knowledge of best practices with regard to recruitment and retention;
  • You have experience and comfort working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • You have experience working at a non-profit organization, at a startup or a campaign environment.
