Operations Associate

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Summary

Launched in 2016, The Hub Project is made up of a growing team of communications, research, and organizing experts who have extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, and polling and analytics. We believe in a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our economy and participate in our democracy, and we make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns. 

The Operations Associate will work closely with the Operations Manager to provide critical support to The Hub’s rapidly growing campaign efforts by managing a complex system of contracts, payments, and grants while providing key logistical support to our staff. This role is essential to keep us running nimble campaign efforts and being an effective progressive organization in a demanding political environment.

Successful candidates will be able to herd cats under pressure and will do what it takes to get the job done.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage a high volume of contracts, payments, and grants through our financial process.
  • Provide advanced technical support to all Hub staff members.
  • Effectively communicate and organize information to many different staff members, partners, and vendors.
  • Support the day-to-day management of the office to ensure a high-quality workplace.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Identify and perform other duties as necessary.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • 1 – 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiar with Apple products and able to provide advanced technical support to staff.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, as well as Google Docs.
  • Goal oriented and focused on anticipating and solving problems.
  • Able to keep track of a variety of deadlines and reliably meet them.
  • Not only extremely well-organized and detail-oriented but able to create simple, effective systems to communicate information and as tools for others.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience managing budgets, performing financial analysis, and/or managing contracts and invoicing is a plus.
