Campaign Associate

Reports to: Managing Director, Campaigns

Location: Washington, DC

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Position Summary

Launched in 2016, The Hub Project is made up of a growing team of communications, research, and organizing experts who have extensive experience in campaign strategy, digital, and polling and analytics. We believe in a country where everyone has the opportunity to succeed in our economy and participate in our democracy, and we make that vision a reality by partnering with advocacy groups – bringing surge capacity and coordination to build innovative and effective campaigns.

The Hub has an immediate opening for a Campaign Associate. The Campaign Associate will drive and support activities on our key campaigns, including working with Campaign Directors and local coalitions on issue advocacy campaigns in key Congressional districts. A successful Campaign Associate will be a talented organizer and a natural coalition-builder with 3+ years of organizing experience. Previous work on economic or health issues a plus.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Work with external stakeholders, grantees, and consultants to conduct issue advocacy campaigns.
  • Build, sustain, and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders and local coalition partners.
  • Work closely with the Hub’s communications, research, and digital teams to create and implement effective campaigns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Bachelor’s degree, and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience as an organizer on electoral or issue campaigns.
  • Experience planning events with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Skilled writer with the ability to modify messages and tone to move particular audiences.
  • Extremely well organized, detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and sense of humor.
